Diving into an Unique Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Turdy Character with the Goal to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and enthusiasts have found numerous engaging indie games. But, one stands out for its quirky concept. Titled Unko Technica, this classic-feel jumping adventure lets you play a character that is truly a dung striving to make its way to a commode. In case you're wondering, "Unko" translates to "poop."

Player controls is straightforward: press a single jump button. Throughout numerous levels, battle mini-bosses and visit a market to buy customizations for your dung hero.

Time your actions with caution, since one wrong move forces beginning again. Bounce off bubbles to launch yourself upward, traverse crumbling platforms, and activate triggers to unlock new areas. Gather currency for buying more difficult levels in which the action gets crazy.

Graphically, the experience boasts eye-catching environments and an amazing background music. The retro art with morphing geometric shapes may remind players of old favorites like Earthbound.

Although hard to name similar titles where you play as a dung character, video games frequently featured fecal matter. For instance, in Death Stranding, players craft explosives from protagonist droppings. Games like Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved employ feces as soil enrichment. And of course, fecal references appears heavily in the role-playing game The Stick of Truth.

Putting aside its humorous idea, Unko Technica has already garnered significant recognition, such as being named best at a major publisher's GYAAR Studio in 2023. A playable preview is available at present on Steam, with the complete version scheduled to arrive on Steam this November.
